About
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa, pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Computer Engineering. My interest in mathematics and science has been a constant throughout my academic journey, and I am passionate about sharing this enthusiasm with others. I have over 5 years of experience actively engaged with students at various levels, providing tutoring in subjects such as mathematics, physics, and general sciences for students in grades 7 to 12.
I have built a strong foundation in teaching, starting in high school, where he supported his peers with homework, test preparation, and academic challenges. My role as Co-President of the Hillcrest High School Student Council allowed me to co-lead initiatives that engaged students and fostered a collaborative learning environment. I worked closely with fellow students and teachers to address academic concerns and organized school-wide events to improve student involvement.
I expanded my educational outreach through my volunteer work as a Mathematics Student Assistant at Hillcrest High School, where I helped clarify concepts and guided students through lesson material using various educational tools and technologies. I continued my tutoring work professionally with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB), assisting students in grades 9–12 with exam preparation, assignments, and helping them deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts through interactive learning methods.
As a tutor, I am committed to adapting my teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student. I focus on developing strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills while reinforcing study habits that empower students to tackle challenges independently. My goal is to help students not just meet, but exceed their academic expectations. I understand that STEM concepts can be overwhelming, but I truly believe that with the right tools and approach, anyone can master it.
Outside of academics, I enjoy playing the piano and I practice karate. I also enjoy competitive trivia.
